"For me, art to a room is like punctuation to a sentence; it is that all-important ingredient and without it a space lacks the layers and attitude that a significant piece can bring,"
-Tara Bernerd
We couldn't agree more with designer, Tara Bernerd! So often, though, our clients struggle with how to select the right pieces. In our last Artist Roundup: Part 1, we shared our first "rule" of selecting artwork.
Tip #1: choose something meaningful to your family that visually illustrates your style & your story. Something you a really drawn to will usually stand the test of time.
Tip #2: Whenever possible, try to vary the style of artwork and the room. For example, a modern abstract will bring new life to an otherwise traditional space. And, likewise, a realistic traditional painting might be a perfect juxtaposition to a sleek, modern room.
As always, we are available to assist in selecting art options for your home - contact us here. We'd be delighted to help!

Sally's work has that special form of magic that brightens any room and can speak to so many different people. We are big SKB fans around here!

"You’ll find my pieces cloaked in the most brilliant oil pastels, watercolors, acrylic, and oil paints. Imploring the use of these mediums allows me to construct art that is equally tranquil and dynamic. My vision has always remained the same - to enhance your spaces with heirloom art pieces that spark wonder and soothe the soul."

"Her work is guided by the notion that “life is a pursuit of creating something that brings another person joy” and conveys an experience, emotion, memory, or person, thanks to her dedication to utilizing various mediums."

"Adele is attracted to abstracted landscapes and simple scenes illustrated in unique ways and her goal is to produce work that feels at home but in an unexpected way."

"..Her life resembles an Impressionist Painting; loose lively and full of color."

"My work is rooted in a love of land. It speaks to the hallowed nature of place and the importance of land ethic."
Enjoy the artwork!
